The Northern Ireland Secretary, Dr Mo Mowlam, has met the Scottish Secretary and the Welsh Secretary to discuss preparations for the first meeting of the British-Irish Council, which will be established as part of the Belfast Agreement.
Dr Mowlam met Mr Donald Dewar and Mr Alun Michael in London yesterday to brief them on the political efforts being made to implement the agreement.
