Geneva - The UN International Children's Emergency Fund called yesterday for people who recruit children to fight as soldiers to be tried for war crimes at a permanent International Criminal Court.
UNICEF estimates that 250,000 children and adolescents under the age of 18 are recruited to serve in armed forces in various countries such as Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
