Moscow - A motorist jumped free just in time yesterday when his car disappeared into a huge hole that opened up in the central Moscow street he was driving along.
A spokeswoman for Russia's Emergencies Ministry said about 120 cubic metres of sand and gravel had given way, creating a hole 88 feet deep, 78 feet wide and 128 feet long. Nobody was hurt, she added.
