Blantyre - Opposition supporters in Malawi have burned down several mosques and houses belonging to members of the ruling United Democratic Front (UDF) in continuing post-election violence, witnesses said yesterday. Supporters of the Alliance for Democracy (AFORD), angered over the re-election of President Bakili Muluzi, went on a rampage on Saturday and torched at least 10 mosques and four houses in Rumphi district and Mzuzu town in the north of the country.
