PC CD-Rom. Minimum system requirements: 486DX/33mhz; 8MB RAM; 1MB hard disk space; Windows 3.1; DOS 3.3; dual speed CD-Rom drive; VGA. £34.99 IF you so desire, this quest can turn out to be no more than a loading of the game and taking the easy option of collecting the Holy Grail. If that is your wish, you will be awarded the Grail with an accompanying fanfare, told you have won and, before you know it, abruptly thrown out of the game. If on the other hand, you didn't see the film, now's your chance. Activate the "See The Film" option and what is supposedly the entire screening will flash by in a matter of seconds.

The film is so good that you will, no doubt, be craving for some more of Python's wacky humour. Take the Register Now option and you will be led through a 125-nonsensical-questions-and-answers session.

Afterwards, if you're not still on the floor cracking up with laughter, the search for the golden goblet begins.

As you progress through the game and its various gags you will inevitably come across one of the five arcade-style games hidden within. That is unless you have chosen the "Run Away" option whereby you'll miss all the fun and possibly a hint or two.

These games are simplistic variations of some better known games. Drop Dead for example is for all the world Tetris where, instead of blocks falling from the top of the screen, bodies (some living, some dead) have to be squashed tightly into a grave.

Good or bad, there is no avoiding the fact that, unless you are a big Monty Python fan, The Holy Gmll's offbeat sense of humour and matter-of-fact gameplay won't be enough for most people.
