Brussels - Belgium's Interior Minister, Mr Louis Tobback, has offered to quit over the death of a Nigerian woman refugee who died after being restrained by gendarmes trying to deport her, the news agency Belga reported.
Mr Tobback said he had offered his resignation to the Prime Minister, Mr Jean-Luc Dehaene, because of police errors in preparing the deportation of 20-year-old Semira Adamu, who died on Tuesday.
