Danny Mills today became the latest Leeds star to agree a new long-term deal with the Elland Road club.

The defender has been in talks with Leeds over recent months and will sign a new five-year deal next week.

Striker Alan Smith yesterday signed a three-and-a-half year contract which guarantees his future at Leeds up to the summer of 2006.

Teenager James Milner is also close to signing a professional contract.

Mills joined Leeds from Charlton in June, 1999. He has won 13 international caps and was an integral member of England coach Sven Goran Eriksson's World Cup squad last summer.

His new deal is expected to earn him more than £30,000-per-week and will take him up to the summer of 2008.
