London - Britain is to roll out the red carpet today for the Argentine President, Mr Carlos Menem, continuing a slow, painful process of reconciliation 16 years after the two countries went to war over the Falkland Islands.
The sovereignty of the Falklands remains hotly disputed, and both Mr Menem and British Prime Minister Mr Blair are expected to restate their claims to the South Atlantic islands, which Argentina calls the Malvinas.
