Men held over €65,000 in forgeries

Two men who bought trucks using forged €200 notes are being questioned in Co Louth.

Two men who bought trucks using forged €200 notes are being questioned in Co Louth.

The men bought the trucks yesterday for €65,000 from a company in Carrickarnon, Dundalk.

An examination of the notes found they were counterfeit. Two Lithuanian nationals were arrested in Dublin Port this morning, and the two lorries were recovered.

Both men were taken to Dundalk Garda Station for questioning.
