Sunderland have signed Cameroon striker Patrick Mboma on loan until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old has agreed terms at the Stadium of Light to move from Serie A side Parma.
The former African Player of the Year missed his country's African Nations' Cup final success over Senegal on Sunday because of a minor foot injury suffered in the quarter-finals, after scoring three goals for the eventual winners of the tournament.
