A leading Republican who took part in the mass escape from the Maze Prison in 1983 was in court yesterday on terrorist charges. Bobby Storey (40) was charged at Belfast, Magistrates Court with two offences of recording information likely to be useful to terrorists.
One of the charges alleged that the information related to a person holding judicial office and the other to a former member of the security forces. Storey was also charged with possessing a document containing information likely to be useful to terrorists. He was remanded in custody until December 4th to appear at Lisburn court sitting at the Maze Prison.
