A married man was convicted by a jury yesterday of raping and sexually assaulting a Munster man who has cerebral palsy. The defendant (27) was also convicted by the jury in the Central Criminal Court on Monday of assaulting the victim in his flat, occasioning him actual bodily harm on March 20th, 1997. Mr Justice Carney remanded him on continuing bail for sentence on January 15th next.
