A man who spent 13 years in prison for a murder he denies committing is to have his case reopened.
Thomas Green (37) was convicted in 1987 of murdering Mr John O'Neill, whose body was found dumped in a stream in the Ballysillan area of north Belfast. He had been beaten to death.
At Green's trial and appeal he claimed that his confession was false. His solicitor, Mr Joe Rice, said: "He always made the case that he had been assaulted, abused and confused when he made the false confession."
