Man stabbed in Belfast gang attack

A man was in a stable condition in hospital today after being attacked by a gang in south Belfast.

A man was in a stable condition in hospital today after being attacked by a gang in south Belfast.

He was walking along Hardcastle Street with two others when they were set upon at about 4am.

The man, in his 20s, was stabbed in the chest and also suffered head injuries. The two other men suffered minor injuries.

Detectives believe the area was busy at the time and have urged anyone who may have been passing to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
