A man is recovering in hospital today after being dragged off a street in Downpatrick, Co Down and shot in the legs.
The victim was walking along the Saul Road at about 9.00pm last night when a gang of four men bundled him into a a dark-coloured Renault car.
He was taken to the Vianstown Road area and shot in the legs. The attackers drove off after the shooting.
The man’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Detectives are trying to establish a motive for the attack.
