A man has been remanded in custody to appear in court next week in connection with a man’s death in Macroom, Co Cork, last month.
John O’Driscoll (30), Dan Corkery Place, Macroom, was charged at Bantry District Court yesterday with assault causing serious harm to Don Geasley (42), Masseytown, Macroom, on September 14th/15th last.
Mr O’Driscoll’s solicitor Dan Murphy said his client would not be seeking bail and free legal aid was granted.
Judge James McNulty remanded him to appear before Macroom District Court on November 2nd.
