A man was remanded in custody yesterday on fraud charges going back four years, after a court was told he would flee the State if granted bail.

Mr Christopher Kinahan (40), with an address in Tamworth, Staffordshire, England is accused of having a stolen credit card and travellers' cheques worth £14,000 between May and June 1993.

Judge Terence Finn remanded the defendant in custody with consent to bail, to appear again on December 1st.
