An executive with An Bord Trachtala who pleaded guilty to his role in a £128,000 fraud has been remanded for sentence on May 20th next by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Michael Anderson (45), of Ventnor, Thormanby Road, Howth, Co Dublin, a former team leader in the trade board, pleaded guilty to six sample charges of forging documents with intent to defraud on dates unknown between October 6th, 1992, and April 30th, 1993.

The charges related to various aspects of the Market Development Fund which had been set up by An Bord Trachtala to aid businesses during the sterling crisis. Payments were sought from the fund in the name of a bogus company. Evidence in the case will be heard on May 20th.
