Gardai in Sligo are questioning a man in connection with the death of a young woman whose body was found in a flat in the town yesterday morning.
The woman, who has not yet been named, is thought to have been Albanian and had lived in Sligo for some time.
It is understood she was out socialising with a number of other foreign nationals on Friday night.
The man was arrested yesterday evening in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co and taken to Sligo Garda Station. Superintendent John Fitzgerald said the Garda were not yet in a position to say how the woman died.
