A Kerry man went on trial at the Central Criminal Court yesterday for the murder of his uncle, whose body was found dumped at the bottom of a well. Mr Eugene Daly (26), with an address at Dooneen, Kilcummin, Killarney, Co Kerry, pleaded not guilty to the charge that on or about January 18th, 1996 he unlawfully killed Mr Patrick Daly (69) at his home at the same address, with the intention to kill or cause him serious injury.

The case before Mr Justice Butler and a jury continues today.
