A man was charged yesterday with murdering 13 year old Sonia Forsythe, the Belfast girl missing for five years whose body was found in a coal bunker earlier this week. Mr James Craig (24), from Sydney Street West, in the Shankill area of Belfast, was accused of murdering the schoolgirl between her disappearance in June, 1991, and the discovery of her body last Monday.
A detective inspector told the Magistrates Court that when Mr Craig was charged, on Tuesday, he replied: "No."
Mr Craig was remanded in custody until April 24th.
