Man killed in Moate car accident

A 27-YEAR-OLD man was killed in a road accident in Co Westmeath early yesterday.

A 27-YEAR-OLD man was killed in a road accident in Co Westmeath early yesterday.

The car he was driving went out of control and hit a tree at Ballymore Road in Moate at about 2.30 a.m. The body of the local man was taken to Mullingar General Hospital. His name was being withheld until relatives had been informed.

Gardai have named the man who died in an accident near Dundalk, Co Louth, on Sunday as Mr Mark Bromley (31), from Castlehill, Carlingford. He died when his car left the road and crashed through a barrier at Riverstown.
