Man killed in Dublin crash

A man in his 40s has died when the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a wall in Dublin this afternoon.

A man in his 40s has died when the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a wall in Dublin this afternoon.

The incident happened on the Lusk to Skerries Road near Balcunnain at 3.30pm.

The man was the sole occupant of the car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to James Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

The road is closed pending a Garda forensic examination and diversions are in place via Rush.
