The man killed in a collision between a van and an articulated lorry in west Cork at the weekend was a Polish national.
Piotr Fiurst (31) with an address at Palmbury, Togher, Cork city, lost his life when the van he was driving collided with the lorry at Dromovane, Enniskeane at 9.30pm on Saturday.
The driver of the lorry was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was treated for shock before being discharged.
Gardaí at Bandon say their investigations into the accident are continuing.
Meanwhile, a former lord mayor of Dublin has urged a review of road safety at roundabouts following the death of a cyclist at Dublin Port on Friday.
The victim has been named as Peter Heffernan (58), from Newbridge Avenue, Sandymount, Dublin 4.
He died when he was hit by a lorry at a roundabout on North Wall Quay, near the Point Theatre, on Friday morning.
Labour councillor Seán Kenny said cyclists faced daily peril trying to negotiate heavy traffic at roundabouts with no cycle lanes.
"I would call on all drivers of heavy goods vehicles to be extra vigilant when overtaking cyclists at road junctions and roundabouts," he added.
Mr Kenny promised to raise the issue at the September meeting of the council's Traffic Strategic Policy Committee, which he chairs.
The latest deaths over the weekend bring the number of road fatalities this year to 228.
