A 60-year-old man died after being knocked down while crossing the road at Glassdrumman, Co Down, last night. The RUC has not released his name.
In Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, a 12-month-old baby was seriously injured when a car mounted the pavement and struck her pram. She was taken to Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, Dublin.
