A MAN who launched an "Eric Cantona style" kick at a senior garda has been jailed for months by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Edward Tobin (20), of Whitechapel Lawn, Clonsilla, Dublin, admitted assaulting Insp Edmond Quirke on September 26th, 1995. The court was told Tobin had six previous convictions and was serving a six month term for unlawfully taking a car.
