Man in serious condition after Kerry hit-and-run

A man in his 20s is in a serious condition in hospital after being knocked down in a hit-and-run in Co Kerry.

A man in his 20s is in a serious condition in hospital after being knocked down in a hit-and-run in Co Kerry.

The victim was taken to Cork University Hospital after he was struck by a car at Ballydonohoe near Tarbert at around 1.45 a.m.

Meanwhile, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of drink driving at around 2 a.m. and questioned at Tarbert Garda Station before being released. Gardaí are not making a connection between the two incidents.
