A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being shot in the chest and abdomen in Limerick last night.
The shooting took place in the Moyross area of the city at around 10 p.m. when the victim was confronted by two men.
Gardaí in Limerick say the shooting is not related to the recent feuds involving a number of families in the city.
