A man arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a
Lithuanian in Co Cavan yesterday has appeared in court.
The 46-year-old Lithuanian man was detained last night and appeared at a special sitting of the District Court this afternoon.
He was remanded in custody to appear in court again on Thursday.
The charges relate to the death by stab wounds of a man in hospital yesterday morning. He and the accused were found injured by gardaí at a poultry factory on the outskirts of Cootehill on Friday night.
The victim, a married man in his thirties, died later in hospital.
