GARDAI at Ballyshannon, Co Donegal, released a man in his 20s last night after questioning him in connection with the murder of the" republican paramilitary, John Fennell.

Fennell (40) was beaten to death in a caravan park in Bundoran last month. His murder is believed to be linked to a feud among members of the Irish National Liberation Army which resulted in the killing of the INLA leader, Gino Gallagher, in January.
