RUC detectives have been questioning a 30-year-old man in connection with an explosion in a shed in the nationalist Ballymurphy area of west Belfast on Wednesday. The man was arrested later that day.

A father and son injured in the explosion have been transferred from Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital to the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald, Co Down, where they will undergo plastic surgery. Their conditions were described as "ill but stable".

Security sources believe that the blast was caused by an explosive device.
