Gardaí in Tallaght, Co Dublin are questioning a man following the seizure of a handgun during a search of a house in the Cushlawn Park estate yesterday.
The handgun, which is subject to technical examination, was seized along with shotgun cartridges, pepper spray and a balaclava.
The man, who is in his 30s, was brought to Tallaght Garda station where he is being held under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
