A foreign national with a Co Cork address has been remanded in custody for sentence after a jury convicted him of incest with his teenage sister.
The 25-year-old man was found guilty by a jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of two charges of incest and having unlawful carnal knowledge of the girl on May 6th, 1995.
She first made an allegation against him after she had drunk almost a bottle of vodka. The jury heard he raped her again two nights afterwards. She subsequently took an overdose of tablets while at school and was taken to hospital.
Judge Kieran O'Connor fixed April 2nd next for sentencing.
