Man for court for ramming police officers

A 24-year-old Derry man charged with attempting to murder two police officers was due to appear in court today.

A 24-year-old Derry man charged with attempting to murder two police officers was due to appear in court today.

The charges relate to an incident in the city on Sunday when a car was allegedly driven at two officers who attempted to stop it.

The officers were at a vehicle checkpoint which was set up in Derry after a blue Vauxhall Astra rammed a Garda car across the border at Burnfoot in Co Donegal.
