A 36-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning charged with the murder of Mr Desmond Moonan (53) in a flat in the east of the city last week. He is the second person to be charged with the murder. Mr Moonan, found by neighbours last Thursday, died from head injuries.

On Saturday his flatmate, Mr Darren Robert Stewart (26), of Lower Newtownards Road, was charged with his murder.
