Huntsville - A man who was on death row in Texas for more than 20 years was executed by lethal injection last night for the 1976 rape and murder of a college student. Pedro Muniz (41) died eight minutes after a fatal solution was injected into his arm.
He was the second person executed in Texas this week. Robert Anthony Carter (34) was put to death on Monday for a 1981 murder.
