Police in Northern Ireland have appealed for information following an attempted paramilitary-style attack in Co Antrim last night.

At about 8 p.m. three masked men called to a house at Forthill Drive in Ballyduff in the Newtwonabbey area outside Belfast.

When the men attempted to force their way into the house, the male occupant shut the door and the attackers fired one shot through the glass paneling.

Police have appealed for information, saying the believe the attack was an attempted paramilitary-style punishment attack.
