A man (20) has died after a two-car collision in Co Donegal early this morning.
The victim, a driver in one of the cars, died after hitting the other vehicle at Magherabeg, Manorcunningham, on the N13 Letterkenny-to-Derry road at around 3.40am.
The driver of the other car was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital, and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The two men were the only occupants of their cars.
The road is closed while a forensic examination of the area is carried out by gardaí.
The latest fatality brings to six the number of road-related deaths on one of the busiest weekends of the year. A total of 175 people have now been killed on the Republic's road so far this year.
