A man who fell from the back of a moving police van in Maghera Co Derry has died.
Paul Somerville (21) had been in critical condition in hospital since the incident on the Church Road last Friday. He was in police custody at the time.
The Police Ombudsman's office last week launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
Mr Somerville, named locally, was from the Maghera area.
A PSNI spokesman confirmed: "The 21-year-old man who fell from a police vehicle whilst in motion last Friday afternoon has since died in hospital."
