A man has drowned after a boating accident on Lough Mask in Co Mayo last night.
He was named by gardaí this afternoon as Mr John O'Hara (54), from Charlestown, Co Mayo.
A second man who was in the boat, which is believed to have gone aground on rocks in the lake, managed to get safely ashore.
He was taken to Castlebar General Hospital, reportedly suffering from hypothermia.
Gardaí say weather conditions on the lake were bad at the time.
