The owner of an apartment complex in Co Monaghan has denied he was responsible for 27 threatening and intimidating calls made last Monday to a receiver appointed to the complex by Anglo Irish Bank.

Kieran McGuigan also said he was not responsible for an e-mail sent to work colleagues of receiver Glen Cran and others.

That e-mail said Mr Cran works for “a UK (Foreign) corporation called Savills” and “does not have any lawful authority to enter YOUR Land, Property or Business Premises. Eject him.”

Mr Justice Roderick Murphy has adjourned to tomorrow injunction proceedings against Mr McGuigan brought by Mr Cran and by Mark Reynolds.
