A man who told gardai he was involved in a post office robbery said: "No one was hurt so what's the harm," a jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard.

Mr Derek Kinch (26), of Rossa Street, Thurles, told gardai he was only the driver and that both a motorcycle and a car were used in the crime, Mr John Peart SC, prosecuting, told the jury. Mr Kinch has pleaded not guilty to stealing £1,785 from Ms Marie Delaney, at New Birmingham Post Office, Glengoole, Thurles, Co Tipperary, on February 24th, 1995.
