A man was charged last night with the murder of Ms Mary Whelan in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, on March 1st. Ms Whelan (27) was found dead at the bottom of the stairs at her home in Clonard Street. She had been strangled.
The man was arrested at 8.30 a.m. yesterday. He will appear before Swords District Court this morning.
