Man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged and remanded in custody with attempted murder following a stabbing at a Co Antrim primary school.

A man has been charged and remanded in custody with attempted murder following a stabbing at a Co Antrim primary school.

Mr Thomas Patrick Reilly (27) with an address at Orkney Road in Antrim, denied the charge at Ballymena Magistrates' Court this morning.

The accused also denied possession of a knife.

A 19-year-old needed emergency surgery while a 17-year-old was treated for serious injuries after a stabbing incident at St Joseph's Primary School, Ballymena, at 9 a.m. last Thursday.
