A 45-year-old man appeared in Swords District Court, Co Dublin, on 81 charges of abusing three girls. He is accused of indecently assaulting one girl 44 times between 1977 and 1983, and sexually assaulting another girl at his home in 1995. He is also charged with indecently assaulting a third girl 22 times, raping her 11 times and buggering her three times. The court heard that six charges had been withdrawn.
The accused was remanded on continuing bail to July 20th.
