A 26-year-old Cork man was yesterday charged with the murder of a 33-year-old woman who was found dead with several stab wounds in a flat in the city earlier this year. Mr Don O'Halloran is charged with murdering Ms Catherine Heg arty, from Whitechurch, between 11 p.m. on February 26th and 12.20 a.m. on February 27th last at a flat in Gerald Griffin Street, Cork.
Det Sgt John Quilter told Cork District Court that Mr O'Halloran made no reply when he charged him at Watercourse Road Garda station. He was remanded in custody.
