Jersey police have today charged a man (45) over allegations of sexual abuse at a former children’s home on the island.
Michael Aubin, who was born in Jersey and lives in Southampton, faces charges relating to three children and will appear in court on the island on Monday
He had been detained in Britain over offences alleged to have taken place in the 1970s and 1980s at Haut de la Garenne, on Jersey and was brought back to the island on Thursday night.
Jersey police said he was the third man to be arrested in connection with the historical abuse inquiry.
Gordon Claude Wateridge (76) originally from Croydon, south London, has been charged with three offences of indecent assault on girls under 16 between 1969 and 1979.
Claude Donnelly (68) of St Brelade, has been charged with raping and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl on Jersey between 1971 and 1974.
