Gardaí have charged a 19-year-old man in connection with the death of Able Seaman Brian Gorey (22) whose body was found in the River Liffey on Sunday.
The man is due to appear at Dublin District Court at 10.30 tomorrow morning where he will be formally charged.
The man, who was arrested earlier today, was being held at Pearse Street garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, a Garda spokesman said.
Mr Gorey, from Limerick, was a sailor on the LE Eithneand had served in the navy for four years.
