Gardai in Sligo are appealing for witnesse after a man in his 60s was seriously assaulted during a burglary in the town.
The incident took place at a house on Old Market Street between 9pm September 19th and 9pm on September 21st.
Then man was brought to Sligo General Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Gardai are asking anyone who may have witnesses anything unusual or suspicious in the area at the time to contact them.
