GARDAI investigating the murder of journalist Veronica Guerin have released four men, but arrested another for questioning about the killing.
A man in his forties was arrested yesterday evening in a southside Dublin suburb and taken to Lucan Garda station. He was held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. He is the 11th person to be arrested by the detectives investigating Ms Guerin's murder.
Four men were arrested on Wednesday. One was released late that night and the remaining three were released later in the day.
In the course of the investigation £50,000 in cash has been seized as well as a Mercedes car worth £80,000, which is being forensically examined.
The car belongs to the main associate of the man believed to have ordered Ms Guerin's killing.
The latest arrests are part of a wider operation aimed at increasing pressure on the organised crime rackets including smuggling and prostitution run by these two men.
